Barcelona Set to Play First Fixture at Partially Completed Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed their first game will take place at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Bilbao team in La Liga two and a half years after they moved out for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators are permitted inside based on approved permits. When completed, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Officials confirmed completed upgrades featured a new players’ tunnel and new dressing rooms.

Barça organized an open training session at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned approval is being pursued from European football’s governing body to play their next home Champions League game versus the German side next month in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at Estadio Olímpic Lluís Companys.
